On 6 February 1963 Monsieur Guy Delaune, a glass blower, created the enterprise Normandie Labo with, as its sole activity, the manufacture of glassware for oil refinery laboratories located in the Seine Valley. The firm then employed 4 people and was located at Lillebonne (76) before moving to Lintot (76), France. |

A few years later, the company added to its core business the distribution of equipment, consumables and all products for any type of industrial laboratory, in partnership with the main manufacturers of general laboratory equipment. |

Thanks to these two activities, in 1972 Normandie Labo was able to enter the export market and began trading with various African countries. The company by now employed a staff of 40. |

In 1976 Normandie Labo developed a range of automatic equipment in partnership with the Company ATPEM. In 1987 Normandie Labo set up a workshop for the manufacture of automatic petroleum testing equipment under its own brand name «Normalab». |

In 1988 Monsieur Guy Delaune, founder of Normandie Labo, sold the company to his employees by means of an LMBO to safeguard the future of the firm in its original domain of activity. |

Since 1996, the scope of NORMALAB ANALIS ISO 9001:2000 certification includes the development, design and manufacturing of analyzers and glassware products, the service, the marketing and distribution of products. |

On 16 March 1927, Monsieur Jean Haut, Doctor of Sciences of the University of Liège, founded his company Analis in Narmur, at 14 rue Dewez - Belgium. 70 % of Analis business concerned the supply of chemicals and glassware to industrial and scientific laboratories. Analis also had a workshop for the manufacture of equipment for the manual analysis of petroleum products and their derivatives. |

The firm employs a payroll of 250. Its market is Belgian for the sale of products, consumables and equipment for scientific, medical and biomedical laboratories. Its market for manufacture of manual petroleum testing equipment is international. |

In 1997 the Directors of the companies Analis and Normandie Labo decided on a merger and Analis bought Nomandie Labo from the latter’s employees, in order to exploit the commercial and technical synergy of their respective activities in the manufacture of petroleum testing equipment. Normandie Labo changed its name to become Normalab Analis France. Analis transferred the manufacture of manual and semi-automatic petroleum testing equipment to a newly created subsidiary, Normalab Analis Belgique. |
